Fantastic Mr. Fox Rating: PG

This movie- in terms of animations did not surpass Up, but it basically surpassed everything other animated movie made this year. This cast, George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Michael Gambon (Dumbledore), were not expected to do badly, but I thought they were phenomenal. The animation was amazing, considering that it was stop-motion. It was a great movie experience and I am glad that I saw it. It wasn't my absolute favorite movie that I saw over vacation, but it was the only animated one (if you don't count Avatar), and one of the best things was that the humor was mature. I almost fell out of my seat laughing when Mr. and Mrs. Fox started having an argument about Rabbit's ex- girlfriend. I would definitely recommend this movie for all ages, and it is a real heart-warmer.

Twelve Movies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not posted in a while, but I saw twelve movies over 2009 winter vacation and I am going to post about all of them right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And anyone who thinks they saw more movies than me over vacation, prepare to eat me...or something like that. I still have not seen the South Park Movie, but I would very much like to, so if you have seen it, please leave a review for me.

The International. Rating:R

A while ago, I saw a movie called the international. It was the first R rated movie that I saw in theaters. It had two actors that I like, Naomi Watts and Clive Owen. It was an action movie, about a bank that liked to kill people. I'm serious, there wasn't a great structured plot, but the acting and action was really good, and overall I liked it. Rotten Tomatoes gave it 52% good reviews, saying that it was pretty good, but the plot was kind of preposterous. My favorite scene is when they are in the museum, and everybody starts shooting at each other. It was graphic bloody violence, shown in a cool subtle way. I still think Clive Owen should be the next James Bond. I think he could out-do Lazenby and Brosnan. This movie was not that popular on DVD, but it did pretty well in the box office, and I really wanted to see it ever since I saw a preview for it.

Catching Up

It's so weird, but I have not posted since April. It didn't feel like a really long time to me, but maybe that's because I've been so busy. Again, I can't tell you all the movies that I've seen recently, but I can tell you about some of them. I've gotten to see more mature movies now, and I'm going to start off with two of those. I hope you are still reading my posts.

Boogeyman. Rating: PG-13

I haven't posted in a while, so I can't remember all the movies that I've seen. I'll talk about the unforgettable ones though, and that doesn't necessarily mean that they're good.
The first one is Boogeyman, a movie about a man who goes back to his childhood home because he suspects that the Boogeyman lives there, and he can't take the curiosity. It is from 2005, and is a horror movie. I personally, thought it was pretty good. The critics did not feel the same way, but I don't always agree with them. It had some pretty effective scares, and fine acting.
One thing that I have never seen in a horror movie before, that they did in this, was that sometimes when the guy was about to open a door and you knew something was gonna jump out, they tilted the camera a little bit so it looked diagonal. This helped make it scarier for some reason. I do admit that it was kind of ridiculous, but still fun and exciting.
This was the first really scary movie I saw by myself. I was browsing On Demand, and my mom wasn't home. I saw this, and remembered seeing previews for it when I was little. I called my mom to ask her if I could see it, and since it was PG-13, she said yes.
Boogeyman got 13% good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, but I would have given it 70%. I don't know why the picture is like that. That's not what it looked like when I put it in.

The Godfather. Rating:R

This... movie... was... awesome!!! I love Al Pacino and Robert Duvall, and I ended up liking all the other actors, so the acting was great. The plot was interesting, but easy to understand, so the plot was great. The words didn't sound robotic, so the script was great. This was one of the best movies I have ever seen.
I haven't seen the sequel yet, but I've heard it's even better. I really didn't expect to understand this movie, but I understood it fine. It got 100% good reviews, and a lot of people reviewed it.
The thing I like about the movie most is that it really shows what the mafia is like. You never knew if someone was a traitor or really on their side.
It was kind of hard to find out what The Godfather was rated R for, but eventually, I found out it was for Violence/Gore, Language, Mature Themes, and brief Nudity.
This movie was nice and actiony just how I like it. Great movie!!!

Disturbia. Rating: PG 13

Look at the title of this movie. What do you think it was trying to be most? Well if you guessed, you're right. And it was. It was another Shia Labeouf movie, but I can't believe he looked young enough to play a teenager, because this movie is from 2007. The movie's about him getting under house arrest, and then looking from his window, into other people's. There's one man that he regularly spies on that he suspects of being a serial killer. It takes a long time for the movie to get actiony. This movie got 67% good reviews on rottentomatoes, by the way, I tried to become a member, but it said it couldn't process the information. The critics liked it, and so did I. Me and my dad liked applying the Hollywood rules to this one too.
I'm a big Shia Labeouf fan, and this is one of his best movies.
A few more scares and this would have been R. I looked on Kids In Mind and this movie got 6 for sex/ nudity, 6 for violence/gore, and 4 for language, although for the language, I think it should have been more for language because there were two obscene hand gestures, 5 sexual references, 16 scatological terms, 14 anatomical terms, and four mild obscenities.
This movie had really good actors.
That's it for now!
